What does your role at SSi encompass and in what circumstance would someone come to you?

I work with sales by using software to simulate how one of our units would perform on wells provided by the clients. Based on these simulations, we are able to offer our clients the best unit models for their desired applications. In addition to this, I also manage the remote monitoring of installed units via XSPOC for clients that requested to have their units on our server.

What is your favourite local restaurant?

My favourite local restaurant at the moment is Some Korean Restaurant in downtown Calgary. My favourite dish is the braised pork belly.

What is your go-to productivity trick?

Tackling tasks one at a time and closing off the ones I’m not working on to avoid any distractions.

What is your most loved place in the world and why?

My most loved place in the world is Bogota, Colombia, because I get to see my family and enjoy the good food and weather.

What is one thing (other than your smartphone) that you can’t leave your house without?

I typically try to keep some ChapStick on me, especially in winter.

What is the first concert you ever went to?

My first concert was Rammstein in Bogota when I was 14 years old.

What are you reading now?

All Quiet on the Western Front by Erich Maria Remarque.

What is your favourite sport to watch?

My favourite sport is European Football. I keep up with the English, Spanish, and Italian leagues as well as the Champions League.

When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?

As a kid, I wanted to be a paleontologist.

If you could write a book about your life, what would the title be and why?

All Along the American Cordillera because no matter how far I went, I have always been close to the same chain of mountain ranges.

What’s one thing you’re currently trying to make a habit?

I’m trying to limit my screen time before going to bed.

What is your hometown and where do you currently live?

I was born in Villahermosa, Mexico, and currently live in Calgary.
