Warren Schumacher is an invaluable member of the SSi team. To learn more about Warren, we asked a few questions to get to know him more personally, and here is what he had to say:
What does your role encompass at SSi Artificial Lift?
I am a service technician working to keep all our customer’s equipment in top running order, I am always willing to take calls regarding our units answer any questions, and come directly to locations for any issues big or small.
What is your favourite local restaurant?
Clarks Restaurant is an iconic local treasure on the lake shore of Cold Lake with amazing food and an old fashion ice cream parlour.
What is your go-to productivity trick?
living an active healthy lifestyle keeps my energy level and mind clear.
What is your most loved place in the world and why?
I am an avid outdoorsman and anyplace I can camp, fish, or hunt with my family by my side.
What is one thing (other than your smartphone) that you can’t leave your house without?
My camera as I enjoy taking pictures of the places I go.
What is the first concert you ever went to?
My first concert was a long time ago but I think it was Kiss.
What are you reading now?
Enemy at the Gates, by Vince Flynn.
What is your favourite sport to watch?
Go OILERS Go!
When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?
I always wanted to become a High School Teacher.
If you could write a book about your life, what would the title be and why?
1000 Tuna. Life is like fishing there are so many opportunities out there some big some small but they all feed your mind and give you plenty of stories to share.
What’s one thing you’re currently trying to make a habit?
Focused meal planning.
What is your hometown and where do you currently live?
Although I wasn’t born here I have lived in Cold Lake Ab for the last 27 years and I consider it my home town.
What do you enjoy most about working at SSi?
I get the opportunity to work with new people on-site almost daily. I work away from the head office and the support and respect I receive from colleagues ensures my knowledge is valued.
